If
you would like to do some training talk to:
-
your manager if you are an employee
- an EXITO staff member if you are self employed or doing training without
the support of your company
These
are the steps that you/your manager will go through:
1.
Are you signed up as an "EXITO Trainee"?
Any
person(s) who would like to do training and would like to have access
to EXITO's training subsidy must be signed on as an EXITO Trainee.
If
you/your employees are not signed on please complete the Training Agreement
form. It costs $170.00 (incl gst) per person to sign up - this is a once
only fee. In most cases the company/ employer pays for this. When you
sign up as an EXITO trainee it lasts for a life time - that means you
do not have to sign up again. Terms of the Agreement are included in the
form.
When
you have completed the form please post it to EXITO with the sign up fee
of $170.00 (per person). If you prefer, EXITO can send an invoice to you.
2.
Organise Someone to do the Training
EXITO
subsidises training that results in you achieving unit standards.
You
or your manager may know of a Trainer/Registered Assessor or a Training
Provider who you can contact to do your training and assessing against
the unit standard(s). If you need assistance in finding someone who is
able to do the training towards unit standards, please contact EXITO.
The trainer/training provider will go over the training details and costs
with you and will arrange a time/date to do the training.
3. Cost of Training
At
the same time as organising the training the Trainer/Registered Assessor
will talk to you/your manager about the cost of the training. The cost
of training depends on a number of variables eg. time involved, skill
and experience levels of trainees, the number of people doing the training
etc.
4. Payment for Training
A
'Contract for Training' is raised by the Trainer/Registered Assessor (or
Training Provider) and sent to the company for approval and signing. The
Contract is also sent to EXITO for approval.
When
the training is completed the Training Provider sends EXITO an invoice
for the whole amount plus the results of the training. EXITO pays the
Training Provider for the whole amount and then sends an invoice for 1/3rd
of the cost of training to the company.
5. Training Results
EXITO
receives the training results from the Registered Assessor/Training Provider.
The results are inputted into our computer and you are provided with a
printout of your Record of Learning (a list of the units you have achieved
to date).
6. Certificates
When
you have completed the requirements of the EXITO National Qualification
and EXITO has received the approval of NZQA, EXITO will issue you with
the National Certificate. (If the training is for an Certificate of Competence
you must complete the CoC application form & send it to EXITO before
the CoC can be issued).
